​pastor jerry koller​
Our Senior Pastor is Jerry Koller, who arrived at FBC in December, 2001. He studied at Grand Rapids Baptist College and prior to coming to South Haven, he served as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Lawton, Michigan for 10 1/2 years. He and his wife Annette have been happily married since 1981. They are the proud parents of four children. The eldest, Jordan, is married to his high school sweetheart, Dana. They and their two children live in Holland, Michigan and Jordan is the Worship Pastor at a local church. Next in line is Daniel, who is the pastor at a church in Yakima, Washington. He and his wife, Janine, have two sons and one daughter. Stephen is the third child and he and his wife, Brandi, live in Florida along with their four children. Stephen is currently enlisted in the Space Force. Jared is their youngest son and he and his wife Lauren live in South Haven where he works for a local bicycle shop. They have two children. Annette grew up in First Baptist Church before marrying Jerry and ministering to her childhood church has been a real blessing for both of them. Pastor Jerry enjoys most outdoor activities, bicycling, wrestling, and is a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears (talk about having faith!). He enjoys reading and staying current on various movements and opportunities to build the kingdom of God.
adjunct pastors
​jason avery​
Jason Avery has lived in the South Haven area his entire life. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He and his wife, Loretta, have three adult children and one grandchild. He is a co-owner of Lakefront Roofing & Exteriors. In his spare time, he has served with the Van Buren County Sheriff's Department and a girl's basketball coach for South Haven High School.
​adam parmenter​
Adam Parmenter and his wife Marge live in Kalamazoo. Adam is on the FBC worship team as a vocalist and keyboardist. He is also a member of the local band Coffee with Friends.​
​rob zantello​
Rob Zantello grew up in Bangor and married his childhood sweetheart, Brandy. They have four daughters. Rob serves as the executive director of True Vine Equestrian Center in Mattawan.
​kim collins, office manager​
Kim Collins joined our staff in May of 2003. She grew up in South Haven and has lived in southwest Michigan her entire life. She and her husband Bob live in Allegan. They have three adult children. Their daughter Lauren and her husband Jared (yes, she married Pastor Jerry's son!) live in South Haven with their two children. Their youngest daughter Megan attended Liberty University and earned a Bachelor of Education to be a middle/high school math teacher. Kim's stepson, Tyler, has four sons and lives in Holland. Kim and her family are also the caregivers for Kim's mom who has dementia and lives with them. In her spare time (which is rare!), Kim enjoys reading, camping, catching some sunshine on the deck, and crafting.
​dean newell, worship director​
Dean has been a member of FBC since 1993 and our volunteer worship leader for several years. He is also a member of our Elder Ministry Team. He and his wife, Linda, have two adult daughters. Dean works at MGB Marketing and is also a member of the local band Coffee with Friends.
​alyssa newell, children's worship leader​
Alyssa grew up attending First Baptist Church and became an official member in 2015. She attended college and is a teacher at Grace Christian School in Watervliet.
